Video of WUDC final

Alfred "Tuna" Snider wins the race among those at the final to post a video of the debate online.  I know the team at idebate are also working on copies of the final plus the ESL and EFL finals and I'll post details of these once available.

Next Manila WUDC 2012

So that's more or less it from Botswana for 2011 (yes I know other than tabs, videos of the finals and stuff but we'll get there in due course).

Next year it's De La Salle University in Manila.

Thanks to @ @ @ @ and others for the twitter updates and to @ and @ for the livestream video.  A few glitches aside this was the year that Worlds entered the internet age of instant communication.  Well done guys.

Results announcement has begun

The announcement of results has begun so hopefully it won't be long until we know the winners.

But then again in Cork this process took over an hour as they killed time waiting for the judges to come back so you never know.....

Update: Apparently they announced they are ready to reveal the results so they sent on another musical act to build tension.

I understand that the Semi finalists plus the ESL and EFL finalists will be announced after the Masters final is over.

Motions to expand the break defeated.

Just hearing that the three motions put to Council to expand the main break from 32 teams have all failed to pass. 

There was a simple majority but not the 2/3rds majority of Status A nations required to make such a significant constitutional change.
