It will also be useful if you could also clarify how you meet the minimum criteria.

The application will remain open for the next 10 days i.e until 4th April. After this date, the list of applicants will also be emailed to this yahoo group so that Union members can privately email the exco any comments on the applicants. The exco will then deliberate on all applications and make our recommendations to IIU. The final announcement will be made by Latif, CA for AUDC 2008 which hopefully can be made by mid April.

Cambridge win Tilbury house 2008

The Cambridge team of Giles Robertson and Mischa Balen won the 2008 Tilbury house IV.
Mischa Balen was the best speaker in the final. Sharon Kroes was the "most entertaining" in the final. Shane Murray topped the speaker tab.

For more details please see their e-mail or website

On a side issue I see on their website that having made it to but lost the ESL finals at the last Europeans and Worlds they have declared themselves World & European Debating Vice-Champions (ESL). What the hell are "vice champions"? Someone in Tilbury has a promising career in PR or political spin doctoring ahead of them. We didn't lose. We are vice champions.... ;-)

EUDC payment update

The organisers of EUDC have extended the deadline for payment by universities wishing to attend Euros in June. The previous deadline clashed with the easter bank holidays across Europe.
